Christmas 2009
I can not believe Christmas has come and gone. If you ask my 6 year old he says since its snowing now it's still Christmas. :) This year the kids had a great time. Paper was flying. We tried to have each child open one present at a time but they were not having it. Diana's big present was her new Kitchen and Dean's big present was the WII. Or should I say was suppose to be the WII. I have been so excited about that for month but after he opened it up he seems to gravitate to some star wars toys daddy got him. I think the kids have more then enough gifts to last them a few years.

My Surprise Gift

For Christmas this year I got a very special surprise gift from my husband. Not only was it a surprise gift but it was the first Christmas gift he has every given me. My husband grew up in a religion where they did not celebrate Christmas. Say What..... Yes very different from the way I grew up. It was a struggle the first Christmas we had together as he did not really want anything more than a tiny Christmas tree. Tooth and Nail I barked at him about it. Little by little every year he has come around. This year he participated from holiday cheer to gift giving to Christmas specials on Tv, to the magic of Santa without complaining. I could not understand this year why he was fixated on wanting to buy the kids presents from him. Everything to me was either from Santa or from Mom and Dad but he just had to have his gifts to the kids. Ok I guess. I see that it is a big step for him and I finally understood him. After all the kids Christmas gifts were unwrapped he asked me what Santa had brought me. I was like um you were there you opened up our gift from Mom and Dad. He said no what else did you get from Santa. I said nothing. Then a bit panic looking he said i put it right with the other gifts down stairs in the basement. LOL. He had them in the wrong gift pile. Silly him. He brings up this bag for me. A little shy because he has never gotten me anything before for Christmas I opened it. I pulled out this very cute wrapped Jared's box. In it was a beautiful Aquamarine and Diamond Necklace. I love it. Its just beautiful.

First Big Snow Of The Winter
Finally its here. The First Big Snow of the Winter Season. I have been waiting for this since June. We have been teased a few times with the possibility of snow showers over the past month but nothing has transpired. Last night coming home from the grocery store the snow started in. My hubby and I sat up in bed watching it come down like a small blizzard for a while. I was so excited as I wanted to take the kids out sledding and to make snowmen. We were out by 10 am in the snow. We went sledding, tried to make snowmen as its not snow packing snow :( went for a snow nature hike in the woods, making snow angles. Yippee. I love the snow.

Kids Holiday Photos
Usually for Christmas we go out and get the kids Pictures taken. Although this year I wanted to we just ran out of time. I was shopping at Macy's with Mom and stumbled across these outfits for the kids and knew that they would be perfect for their Christmas outfits. Princess Di's Of course was called a Cinderella Dress. Of course :) It came with a matching dress for her baby doll which she just loves. I got Deano a suit this year and we surprised that he actually loved the outfit. Usually its a fight to dress him up.
Here's a few pictures we took of them today.

Holiday Spirit
I have been a bit behind in my blogging so I figued I should catch up a bit. November and December seem to have been packed fill of full full days. I cant belive Christmas is almost here. The kids had their own little christmas tree to decorate in their room this year. We took them out to pick out their tree and all their decorations. I think they did a great job. They had a good time putting all the ornaments and lights on the three. They had their own system down. Princess Di would take the ornaments out of the package , put a hook on each one and then hand it to Deano. Then Deano would put it on the tree. We were very surprised how well the kids worked together. Its amazing that the tree has been up since the first week in November and the Kids have not touched it once. Especially big surprise that Princess Di has not taken all the ornaments off the tree by now :)
