Next year will be here before we know it. Mom and Dad have already begun planning our summer vacation for 2010. This year the family vacation was in Orlando, but my hubby, I and the kids we unable to attend as we had just moved back to Ohio. When they asked us where we wanted to go next year it was a toss up. We have always vacationed in Hilton Head. I love it. Its a relaxed atmosphere, you can ride your bikes any where you want to go. I love Harbour Town. On the other hand I wanted to take the kids to Disney World. Princess D will be old enough to remember, Little D will be old enough to enjoy it and I think Princess A will love it. Not to forget Little Laney Boo, she will have so much fun with her cousins I know she will love its a Small world.
We will be staying at a Kid friendly Resort The Marriott's Harbour Lake. I am so excited. Out of every place we have ever stayed we have not been to something like this. The kids are going to be so excited, so much fun and so exhausted.
Harbour Lake has an interactive pirate ship, has activities every day for the kids to attend, it has a miniature golf course and I pirate Pool, an interactive water playground with a slide. There is going to be something for everyone. I cant wait. Between Disney, sea worlds and the Pirate Themed Pools they are going to have a blast.

Summer Vacation 2010
Diana's First Middleton Baby Doll
Diana got her first Middleton Baby Doll. I guess the trip to see the stealer's was not a total bust for me:) I have never been into a store that sells the baby's but we went into this Kaleidoscope store and I was in heaven. Well I guess Diana was too. I walked in and out of that store 6 times before I bought a doll. I was trying to justify spending that much money on a baby doll for my 21 month old. When the lady asked me how old my daughter was that I was buying it for I said oh shes 7. I could only envision me saying of its for my baby here and then they lady saying your nuts to buy her that. LOL. So Princess D screamed all the way down the hall until I was out of view of that store. At that time I pulled her new little baby out of the bag and the rest was history. Diana and " Baby Abby " have been side by side ever since. Guess what.... The baby is still in new condition :). We dress, diaper and cloth "baby Abby " for everything we do. Princess D now feeds her as well. Yesterday we had to take "baby Abby" to the swimming pool with us.lol. She loves her baby doll and she is such a good Mommy. Lets see for how long we can keep baby in good condition.
Our Trip to the Steelers
What a day. My husband is nuts over the Steelers. I dont understand the whole football thing so I dont really care. I have lived in Ohio most of my life so I only know the Browns. My husband has been talking about going to see the Stadium for some time now and he finally got his chance. My youngest brother in law came up for a visit and it was prime time for Hubby to wisk us off to Steelers town.
I didnt really want to go but we all went. It was ok. I didnt see anything I liked about Pittsburg. I felt like I was in the middle of the bad part of town where ever we went, I felt like we were driving in circle, but hey the riverwalk was nice.
We got to the stadium and I think my husband was in Heaven. He was all grins from cheek to cheek from the moment we got there until the minute we left. Little D man, Little Princess D, and Brother in Law S all seemed to have fun. Lucky for them they were able to sneak upstairs to the upper level and get a great look at the field, they got to be in the stadium, look at the walk of fame, ect. Oh what a fun day for them. :) I got to go shopping at the new Mall there. Now that was fun.
Ummm Go Steelers<..........
A day at the Beach
Ahhh A day at the Beach. I have been wanting to take the kids to the water for sometime now since we have been home. We just have not found the time since we have been back. I started to search for beaches here in Ohio and Finally found some that I forgot about. We took the kids to Huninton Beach In Bay Village.
What a beautiful day. It was mig 80's and just beautiful. Not a cloud in the sky. We spent about 5 hours on the beach, building sand castles, swimming, eatting Ice cream. What fun. Little Princess D has decided that she loves to dive into the sand, on her belly, and burry herself in the sand. Our little girl loves the dirt. Complete opposite of Little D man when he was her age. He did not like to get his feet or hands dirty. Little D and Little Princess D have been so lost since their sister went back home to her mommys early July so this was a perfect trip for them. They found friends to play with all day long. It was a great day.
Half Day Kindergarten Vs Full Day Kindergarten
I can not believe that school is about two weeks away. I am so excited Little D will be going to the Elementary School where I went to. What I am not so thrilled about is the half day program they have going on. Kindergarten here is from 830 until 1030. What is that I keep asking myself. I do not feel that is a long enough day for the children. I feel that the short two hour class is for a preschooler. Little D is use to going to school all day. I would put him on the bus in Texas at 650 am and he would be home by 330. I feel this two hour class is not going to be structured enough. I am not sure how they can learn, play, socialize in two hours. When I taught Head Start a few years back I felt the short half day program was not enough time for the children to learn, play, and socialize.
I have been toying with the Idea of enrolling him into the Catholic School here which is an all day program but can not see paying over 3500 a year just for this. Its short of 300.00 a month for the full day kindergarten. Is it worth it? Would I be making the right decision? I have looked into an enriched extended after school Kindergarten program for him. I would love to do that but cant seem to justify spending over 600 a month doing that. If that's the case then the Catholic All day Program is the one to go. I wish the decision would be an easy one for me. I don't want to make a mistake. Is the 2 hour kindergarten program enough, should I look further, what other options have I not stumbled across yet? UHHHGGGHHH. Being a mommy sometime is not so easy. Does anyone have any suggestions???
