The End of a Great Year

Ah 2008 was a busy one for they Cox Clan. We started the year with a move to Ohio for a quick 6 months While My hubby was at a MI school in Arizona. While in Ohio DD got his first taste of a great preschool and I got a chance to teach a bit with 2 and 3 year olds. :) We Had just had SD just before we moved off to Ohio so that kept me busy as a slightly single mommy for a few months. My hubby got back from school and sent us packing to OK in June. That move lasted us a quick week and a half and the Army wisked us away to A surprise move to Texas.
We all got settled in Texas early July and here we have been ever since.
We were blessed to have our Daughter from my hubbys first marriage with us for the summer and for a few weekends. She helped keep me busy and help the summer pass on by fast.
My Hubby and I finally got married This year. It was so nice to have our oldest daughter her with us to be apart of our most special day.
DD Started his first official preschool in an elementray setting this past August. He goes full days. For SD and I we have been busy during the week with my child care business. :) Its had its ups and downs as any business does and I love it. I have the best of both worlds. I can work and put my teaching skills to work and stay at home with my little SD. I love it. I can get DD off on the bus in the morning and be here when he gets home. Have the house all put together by the time my hubby comes home and have dinner ready :) We stay busy here.
SD turned One this year. DD Turned 5. Where is the time going :) They are both so unique in their own ways. I love to watch them grow and blossom into the little people they are becomming.
DD is learning to play basket ball, just starting to read in this own ways, write his own name, learn the art of coloring, keeping us laughing at every funny thing he says.
SD has mastered Walking by age one, talks up a storm, is feeding herself with silverware, Is learning to sign, and has found her new love with her daddy. He is her best friend. This next year hopefully we can train her to sleep in her own bed :) Well we can keep wishing anyways .
We have traveld across the Us this year which has kept us all busy. We've traveled to Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, Mississippi, Louisianna. Just staying busy as we can.
We ended our year with our Trip to Ohio. We got to have a wonderful visit with my family. Its always to great to be with them. My big sister is about to POP. She and her husband is going to be having a baby early Feb. I was so excited to see her. DD and SD had a great time with grandma and grandpa. We had a great extended stay with our family. It was too short of a stay but we shall be back in Ohio soon.
We had a great and busy 2008 and cant wait for 2009.
Happy New Years Every One>

Beautiful Children

We had some pictures taken with the family over Christmas break. I have to say they are some beautiful children. They had such a great time at grandma's. I don't think as a parent I could have been more blessed with both of them. They love each other so much. Its amazing to sit back and watch Little D Loving on his little sis as much as he does. They play together and watch out for each other. Little D is very good with his little Sis and you can see it with his every move with her. They are like two peas in a pod. I think the best thing I like to watch between them is when they are sitting on the floor side by side playing. Not saying too much of anything just playing. Little D will then get frustrated and try to re direct little Sis's playing time. LOL. I have seen many sibling fight at these ages crying on and on but little D seems to know how to handle his sis. I just love them.

First Sled RIde of the season

While we have been waiting for the big snow fall while in Ohio I have come to realize we are just going to have to wait. :) The weather does not want to cooperate with us. That's ok though. DD and SD did get to get out and play in what snow we had :) They had so much fun. I am not sure SD knew what was going on. She was a Popsicle. :)

Merry Christmas

Mommy feeling left out

DD had a filing today on his teeth. My Hubby took him to his appointment. I didn't know what to expect so I was home worried about him. I was sure my Hubby could handle it but I worried about DD. When they arrived back home Dd had not too much to say about it. I asked my Hubby how it was and he was like Um OK. Then they both disappeared. A while later I heard DD asking Daddy, " When will my teeth wake up"? My hubby said in a few hours . I then started asking DD some questions about his teach and about them being asleep and he said, Mom I am talking to my dad. LOL. I felt so left out. Everything for the rest of the day pertaining to his tooth was direct to daddy and not me . :( I guess there are things that daddy can handle now too.

Morning Laughs

On the way to the bus stop today DD said " Mommy is sure is soggy out ". It sure is foggy I told him holding back my chuckles. LOL. He just says the cutiest and funniest things sometimes.
My Hubby and I were just talking last night about the things the kids say. We still think its the funniest when DD and SA are together, One with say something funny and the other will just play off that comment . They have us rolling forever.

Last minute Holiday Packing

Its finally getting closer. We are on our two day count down to Grandma's house :) DD is so excited he can hardly stand it. He packed his own back on Sunday and its been ready since. He is so proud of himself. I finished SD and I's back on Tuesday night, and will start on Daddys today. I don't like to leave anything for the last moment. Tonight we have DD BB practice and then tomorrow night its off to bed around 7pm. We will have to get up real early sat to make it to sign out and then the drive to the airport :) I am so excited there is going to be snow :). I think Daddy is dreading the cold a bit but its OK. Every ones been calling me this week telling me to pack extra sweaters ect :) I don't mind the cold. Not yet at least .
I have just finished sending out the last of our Christmas Cards. Yesterday I finished what I thought was the last batch of cookies. DD would love for me to bake more for this Christmas party for tomorrow. Mommy's work is never done.
We seem to all be coming down with a cold just in time to travel. Thank you to everyone who helped get us sick. DD woke up with the Sniffly nose and a tiny cough and I hear SD barking in the bed with a sleeping Daddy. And well I have had this sore throat for a few days now with a snuffly nose. TIS the season to be sick and traveling. BOOGER I hate to be sick right now.
Tonight hopefully I will be able to pack the luggage into our car and wait their until we hit the airport :)

Surprise Blown

As most people know I can't keep a secret. I never intentionally spill the beans , I just mess up.
I have been trying to keep a secret from my grandparents that we would be home for Christmas. Earlier this week my Grandmother lead me to believe she knew we were coming home. I played it cool and didn't let her know I was. Then again today she talked about me coming home. She was basically like, so what day are you going to be here. Grandma I said. She said you cant kid a kidder. I know . Grandma's always know. LOl. She has been picking up on comments that people say. I guess my mother made a reference about DS and DD like some clings that she was putting up so grandma just assumed from there I was coming. Then we are getting a family portrait when we go home and and my grandma almost asked my sister while talking to her so when is your sister coming home. LOL. Grandma said you cant have a family portrait with out every one. LOL . We were all trying to be slick by Grandma saw right through it. LOL. I think the funniest was when my Uncle was over there the other night Grandma was like do you know if Jennifer is coming home for Christmas and he just smiled ear to ear she said. LOL. I made a comment about my brother calling and something or other and she knew from that too.
Cover blown. That's OK. We all tried. we just cant fool the Grandma :) In the end this works out better for me as she will be able to make my Coconut cake for me now :)

A bit of a Scare

Today was like every other day when we go to the mail box. Ds loves to run ahead of me and Dd running right behind me :). He goes to the mail box opens it and is so excited that there is another key in it to the big mailbox. The big mail box holds packages that do not fit into the little box. He opens it and there sits a pretty green and white striped oblong box addressed to me in my maiden name . I looked it over and did not know what it was. Ds said what did you order mommy. I could not think of anything. It was a box from The Swiss Colonial. I then looked to see who the sender was. All it said was hugs and kiss. Merry Christmas from the ........ I immediately had so many emotions going though me . I started to cry then I was scared. My heart jumped into my throat. It was address Merry Christmas from the and the last name was my old married name from Ds Sperm Donor. I didn't know what to do. We have heard nothing from that family since Ds was a little over 8 months old. NO cards , no presents, no phone calls ( the restraining order took care of that, well after a while anyways.) So why now. I kept on a rage for a while. It was very upsetting to me. My Husband kept saying its OK, it will be all right. I assured it wasn't and I just kept going on. I could not get over the fact that I thought his family found us. I have nothing tied to me here as far a finding me. Unless theres a way that I don't know about. My ex husband has no visitation rights no anything. So me freaking out was very justifiable. The package had a tracking label on it but that was it.
As soon as I walked into the house I opened the package and thew its contents directly into the garbage. I didn't even unwrap it I didn't care. I just wanted it gone. What a fitting rage I was in. My husband at first didn't really know what was going to . I am sure he thought I was a crazy person until he put two and two together.
I went back into the house took it out of the trash and was going to send it right back to my ex mother in laws house. As it would have been sent by her not my ex husband.
After about an hour past something came into my head. I just kept trying to figure out how they found me. Then I thought about the company it came from and kept thinking. Finaly I remembered my neighbors from Oklahoma's. Their last name was the same as my ex married name.
Thank god I thought. It must be from them . It has to be. I called them and sure enough it was from them. I was so relieved all I could do was cry all over again.
In the end my husband said, see all that was for nothing. Thank goodness. I am so happy and life can go on as normal :)
I guess with the recent court date this week I was on heightened alert.

My big sis Rocks

http://jackson5adventures.blogspot.com

My big sister rocks

Opps new blogger mistake.

Ok so i am new to this blogging thing. I dont really know the rules. I guess I am not suppose to erase comments and blogs after being posted. So i have recently reposted a comment that i deleted. I am sorry world of bloggers if i offended you and did the wrong thing. I am trying to correct it here.

Airlines and Bags

I had heard awhile ago that the airlines were charging for luggage. While my hubby was away at school earlier this year we flew a few times a either him or us and there was no charge. It ruffles my hair that we will be charged now. Is it not bad enough that they charge you out the wazoo for the flight ? With gas going down why are the flights still high and with that why are they still charging for luggage. Ridiculous. Packing is not going to be as easy as it usually is as I will have to really think about what I am packing. LOL. Now as for my husband; I will have to restrict him to only 1 suit case . I know he will have a hard time only taking 1 pair of shoes and only a couple hats and not the 4 pairs of shoes plus the 20 hats he throws in . LOL. Got to love him. And he says I'm high maintenance.

Justice Is Served

Yeah . I am so excited. Finally after two year of running from two warrants my ex husband was locked up :) I got gotten a notice that our child support cases were going back to court this past Tuesday. I thought it was just my case but it was his ex wife's case as well. He owes around 75000 in back support to her and around 12000 in my case. He has been running since well 2004. The courts put two diff warrants out for his arrest after not appearing in a case two years ago. His license has been suspended since that time as well. Ohio is a go getting in child support. I called the prosecuting attorney today and she have me the 411. The case has been extended until Feb. My ex husband had just been held for 12 days in a Columbus jail until Medina county could get him. Which they did for the court date. :) The pros. Attn. proposed that they would extended the court date to feb if he pays two months in my support case and two months in his other ex wife's support case. His attorney also wanted his drivers licenses re instated so he could get a job to pay the support. That's bull crap. He has not made a payment in oh over 2 years on either case. He has no intentions of getting a job over the table . LOL. DEAD BEAT NON SUPPORT PAYING DADS SHOULD BE JAILED.
The pros attorney said they would re instate his licenses if he paid two months in my case and two months in his other ex wife's case and give license back and if after that no payments were made each month he will get 30 days in jail per support case.
He once said before i left his abusive ass, you will never find me I will always run. I will not pay anything. Well honey :) You've been found and I didn't even have to go looking.
He has had nothing to do with my son since he was 8 months old and really nothing to do with his 10 year old son . which is the best situation for both boys as our ex is very abusive, split personalty ect. The kids do not need to be exposed to that. I am just glad after running for so long he has now been stopped . For at least a day .lol.
I recently heard that he was getting married again. I feel bad for her. If she knows what his ex wife and I had gone though I would hope she would run.

So Until Feb. ...... I will be waiting :0) not for a payment but to see his stupid actions. I can guarantee he will not pay and will not show up in court then on go the warrants again. It's a vicious cycle in DEAD BEAT NO SUPPORT PAYING PARENTS lives.

14. PICK UP A BOX OF CONDOMS AT THE PHARMACY, GO TO THE COUNTER AND ASK WERE THE FITTING ROOM IS.

Holiday Baking

I started early this morning on my holiday baking. I am so very excited. My husband loves fudge so I thought I would start with that. I started about 530 this morning on my first batch. Nut free and the other batch lots of nuts . I have them both. I am going to start on my sugar cookies during the afternoon nap times. The babies are down now so its a little to late for that now. I am excited. Its the first step to start out our holiday cheer. Its a little bit dreary around this town. There are not too many people whom decorate the outside of their houses. I guess since they don't have the pretty snow they are not really in the spirit. I cant wait to go back home for all the lights , the snow , and my mothers cookies. :) I am still keeping a secret from my grandparents that we are coming home. LOL. I can't ever keep a secret so this is Hugh. My grandmother makes the best coconut cake. Its a double layered cake with fluffy white frosting topped with coconut. Its delicious. I am trying to figure out how to get her to make that cake for me without her knowing I'm coming :O.

Are you ready to go Honey

LOL. So I went out in the garage this morning and all our suit cases are laying out there . We had just bought a new set for our Christmas. We didn't really have a good set of luggage to go anywhere so it was time. So this morning our luggage is sitting out in the garage ready and opened. I think hes getting excited for our trip. I found some Cavs tickets for him on CL so my dad, brother, my hubby and little deano will all get to go. I know hes very excited about that. Last year Gilbert and Deano came back with the cavs cheerleader calendar. Dean was glued to it. LOL. We'll see what they come home with this year.

Our countdown now beings in to weeks we will be comfy and cozy in OHIO .

Chucke E Cheese :)

Whoopy ::)))
We took the kids to chucke E Cheese last night with Myles and Marshall. They had a blast. Dean is at the age where he just goes wild at video games. Dean and Marshall would sit at one of the big driving arcade games. Marshall would sit behind Dean and Dean would steer and try as had as he could to press down on the gas peddle. Marshall sat there directing dean where to go and dean would try to drive that way. They where too cute together. The was tv projector that Dean and Marshall would go up to and dance around and you could see them up on a big TV screen. Dean loves to be up on the big screen. Lol.
Myles and Diana did great. I expected them to be going every which way but they didn't. Mommy and daddy were not a stressed out as we thought we would be. The daddies looked after the boys as the mommies played with the babies. Diana and Myles at three pieces of pizza between the both of them. Hungry monkeys they were. Along with the other things they were eating I can not believe they had much room.
I was a little nervous when Chucke came out. Dean had never seen chucke any other time we had been there so this was going to be a wait and see if he or Diana got scared. Abby and gil always tells us how scared she was of chucke. lol. Poor thing. So i was expecting the worst because of it. They did well.
I hope that was in pre for Santa. Hopefully they will be ok with him too :) Daddy's all excited to take them to sit on his lap. We'll see.
So last night was a blast and we all had fun.

Diana's New Hiding Place

So this morning at breakfast Diana has found a new storage place for her food. Her whole breakfast ended up in her outfit. LOL.

Our Morning Eye opener

We have recently gained our favorite eye opener. Thank you to one of my mom's who brought the Peppermint Mocha Coffee mate creamer over one morning. I have been stuck on french vanilla for years now. Only fat free for me. Then one morning came the peppermint mocha. I have been hooked ever since. We... have been hooked ever since. My husband loves it and we both prefer it over the french vanilla. I do not know what we are going to do after it is taken away for the season :) Its not fat free but its the best way we start our mornings :)

Tubes for Diana

Our little Diana has had one too many ear infections. We took her to the ENT today and they said she would need to have tubes put in. :( Its going to be a routine process for the doctor but a very scary one for us. Poor daddy is just sick with the idea of them putting her to sleep. I was very surprised with all the questions he had for the doctor today. They said she would feel no pain and be back to normal right away. Poor Baby :(

Who says a girl cant have that many clothes :)

So the past few days I have been noticing that there is no room in Diana's drawers for her clothes. So i have been taking over more closet space for them as well. Tonight after doing the laundry I found myself now cramming them all in the drawer. Now I just cleaned them out I thought and sent Diana's Smaller clothes to aunt Trisha for baby J. Well low and behold there is an over kill of clothes for Diana. I got curious to see just how many pairs of pants she has. Oh Yes I have counted 43 pairs of pants. HOLY MO LY . Does she really need that many? I guess not . :) I do know that when every Diana gets a spot on the clothing I am taking it off of her and spraying it. Every time I get that spray bottle I think of my big Sissy. I have to save all Diana;s clothes for her. Tomorrow I will go through and count the shirts and the one piece outfits. I will have to follow up with pictures. This little girl has way to many clothes. Good Think for us all her clothes are a size 12 month. She still does not really fit into a 12 month. She hit 20 lbs for about a day and is back to 19.5. She is just a tiny peanut. Today we had this cute outfit on her that her Uncle and Aunt bought her in Mississippi. Its the cutest thing in a size 12 month but its Hugh :) She will gets lots of ware out of it for some time to come.

Trip to the Dentist

Little Deano had his 6 month check up at the dentist today :) They had to take xrays of his teeth and clean them. The lady taking the xrays was really sweet to him. He had a hard time keeping his tongue from pushing it out of his mouth :) He thought he was the top dog when they gave him a pair or red sunglasses to put on. After his cleaning and his vitamins of bubble gum he dentist came for his final check. I had heard the lady tell the doctor about seeing something on the xray and sure enough there was a little tiny cavity. So the doctor told me about the filing they would have to do. I asked him how come he easily gets cavity's. This is his third. We brush his teeth twice a day. So then he says do you floss? Well no I told him I thought because Deans teeth were so spaced out we didn't have to. Dean at that min pipped up and said My Sister said her mom told her that Flossing is bad for her teeth. LOL. The dentist just looked at me. I just had to laugh it off. This summer Dean and his older sister were comparing cavities. My husband said Abby do you floss and she said No My mom said its bad for my teeth. LOL. Of course my hubby got a little irritated at that but I knew that she must have understood and that i knew her mommy would not tell her that. LOL. Kids .... They say the funniest thing :)
So when the lady went to show us how to floss his teeth, Dean jumped and said Its going to hurt my teeth its bad no. lol. She had to explain to dean in the nicest way about how the floss was helping his teeth.
On the way home Dean was still at it. But mommy Abby said...... Again i tried to explain to him that it was just a misunderstanding and that Abby's teeth were ok to floss to. He said I will ask her myself mommy. He is so funny. He just kept on keeping on and does not believe us. Needless to say once that Dentist pokes him with that ginormous needle to numb him in a few weeks I think we can revisit why we floss. :) God love him.

My Crazy Hubby

I love my crazy husband. There are times I just sit back and laugh at him all day. A few weeks back we were in our local wal mart. There was a Taylor Swift T-shirt hanging on the rack. He looks at is as we walked by and said I'm going to have to get me one of those. I was like what as I was looking around . He said that Taylor Swift shirt. I thought he was joking so i Laughed at him. I said baby you would look so good in that. So this weekend We were in Mississippi. It was hot and of course I did not pack any t-shirts. I did not want to spend a bunch of money on clothes so I went to the clearance rack. the only thing they had in a size Sm was Of course the Taylor Swift shirt. Go figure. lol. So I brought it home. I told him about it and he said i cant believe you bought that. I never did put it on. Well today during nap times i decided to put it on while i worked out. I thought My husband was going to fall out. He was like Step back and let me take a good look. He said are you going to shrink it a little bit? I was like um i hope not. He then proceeds to walk around the house making comments on how sexy I looked. He then came over gave me a big kiss and said I love it you look So country. Country??? Is that All it takes. A Taylor Swift t shirt :) well i guess we are going out to by me more .lol. Hes always trying to country me . I love my husband hes so crazy.

Things that Annoy Me

There are a few things that annoy me lately.

# 1 We are constantly getting flyer's and emails about buying Direct TV. WHY?? We already have it . Stop bugging us. I mean aren't they losing money in advertisement. I get at least 2 emails a day and 1 flyer in the mail .

#2 The cashiers at the grocery store. Since when did they stop talking. I hate to get up to the register and they say nothing.
# 3 The kids at the bus stop with the pants around the ankles. Try explaining that to your 5 year old. He says You need a belt. They just glare at him and he doesn't understand why
# 4 Why am I getting buy a Obama coin every day in my email. How did they get my email
# 5 The Sales people who come to your door after its dark outside.
#6 Solicitors who keep calling you . You answer and there is on one there. Finally after days of this you answer and someone is on the other end you say do not call me anymore. And a day later the cycle starts over again. Not to top it off Didn't we sign up for no solicitor calls.

Texas Law it surprised me

I am amazed everyday on how much I think i know but I really don't. Yes honey I did admit to that one:). Recently we have been interviewing some lawyers to take a case that we are wanting handled. Its amazing on what the lawyers have told us. Things we thought we knew or thought we were helpless on we really were not. Its a relief to know we were wrong and that we have a side. If we only knew now what we didn't a year ago we would have saved ourselves some emotional peace and some money . This am we had a interview with an awesome attorney who gave us some great information and I think my husband is on cloud nine. In his original divorce we tried to have his attorney bring up a temp order that originated out of CO when his DV to his ex first started. Its stated that She could not relocate the child out of CO where the child was residing at the time with out my hubby's consent or the courts ect. Well she was and that was that. My husbands now ex attorney did not do such a great job and getting a handle on that for credibility reasons. We found out today that ( in some round about way) they can still have a way with that original paperwork stating that she was not to be removed from that state. :) Some type of legal garb that We had to explain to us a few times but that's ok. Then came the matter of the moving from here to there and getting the child and changing meeting points. Comes to find out that actually since the mother is the one whom had custody and moved she would be the one responsible for all transportation . That is according to a law to be enforced back in the court. I guess its some Texas law. If the custody parent moves its their responsibility to provide all transportation. What a relief that was. We do not mind meeting half ways but when mommy keeps moving farther and farther its hard. We now miss our 4 day weekend that we were able to being to use . We were excited for jan , feb, then spring break in march then a 4 day in April.
Now its all gone. Also we found out with the distance the airplane ride we were seeking is enforceable. Cost is suppose to be on the custodial parent which i don't really agree on in think it should be 50/50. I mean its only fair. That's an expensive thing.
I don't know we learned a lot today about the laws in Texas. I always thought i was up on things but it proved me wrong. :)
I think i need to go into law to figure everything out that I want to :)

Dreaming of White Christmas

Its finally getting closer and closer. Grandma has been sending pictures of their tree, the lights and the snow. We are all so very excited. My hubby finally got the all clear to come with us. We all cant wait. He even started to talk about packing. That usually does not happen for him until 2 hours before we leave to go anywhere :). Hes excited. My brother is coming home too and my sister will be there. It will finally to great to have us all there together. Mom talked about getting a family photo organized. That would be great. ( now i can stress about what to put the kids in ) :) .
My hubby is already talking about taking Diana in the snow. We will have to get the kids some boots and deano some snow pants. Diana has her snowsuit all ready to go :). I am so excited.
I have this awesome video I would love to post up there but my Husband would get me. He did not grow up celebrating Christmas . There was no tree , no presents, non of that. While I have been celebrating forever its strange for me. The past few years I Have gotten the house all done up and he wanted to part of it. He didn't even want a tree but we had a small tiny one. So this year Knowing we would not be home I still wanted a tree. I just got a dainty 6.5 ft artificial tree pre lit and got a few bulbs. Just enough for us. Last night the kids were putting the bulbs up. I caught out of the corner of my eye my husband partaking in this event. LOL. I got just a small clip of him standing at the tree putting a bulb up. Once he saw me he walked away saying oh no your not going to get me and walked away from the tree. He never went back. LOL you bet that video went out to my brother. A few years a go during Gil's last tour they boys decorated their bunks with Christmas decorations. Except for Gil. My brother just could not get it why Gil would not decorate his so Dean ( my brother) decorated gil's bunk. Dean tells the story and how mad Gil got ect ect. Dean has always called his scrooge. :) So last night the video was perfect. I sent it to dean to let him know. Gils come a long way :) He loved the video of course and then had to reminisce of their time in Iraq :)

Thanksgiving in Mississippi

Our trip Mississippi was a great one. The holiday got off to a bumpy start but it got squared away. My hubby had decided the night before that we were not going to go as he was under the weather but his brother convinced him the next day to come. I am so glad. The kids had a good time. Dean had played with his cousins all weekend. Had sleepovers and so much fun. It was great to have all his family around. Diana was slow to warm up to everyone but she did well. Still not her very funny self around everyone but she came to a bit. I think the funniest part was warming up to grandpa. She did not want anything to do with him until the after dinner treats came. The was then Grandpa's best friend :) I wish I would have gotten some pictures. Gil had taken all the cameras but we never got them out.
We finally got to see his parents new home. It was just perfect for them. Dean loves their Jacuzzi bath tub. I think its the biggest shower i have ever been in with the best shower head in the world. We will have to call Grannie and get the name of it.
Dean got to go four wheeling. Thank you David for Sharing. Poor david let everyone else ride his four wheeler on Thanksgiving all day and I think he got on it in the evening What a sport :).
Dean got to play awhile with his cousin Sarah to doing art work. Another favorite for him.
The Thanksgiving Feast we great. I have never had Cajun turkey before it was good, smoked turkey, the best sweet potatoes, corn bread stuffing, taters, mac and cheese, rolls, regular turkey , beans, corn, ect ect and tons of desert and the best banana pudding :)
We had a great time. We Missed our Abby there. It was our holiday with her but she was not able to make it. Second holiday in a year of ours we missed. :( .
We will have to make a special trip to grannies with her. She would have loved it.
We are great to be home after our long trip and now we rest.

Stressing out for the Holidays

I am sure I am not the only one but I always stress during the holidays :) This years a little different since we are going to MS. i have to get the house done , get the kids packed and the car packed for the trip. I wish my husband would help but if its not done my way we just but heads so i'd rather do it myself. So im frantically running around trying to do everything my help but going crazy. Tomorrows already Monday and our journey starts Tuesday. We have decided we are taking my car since My hubby's truck is going in to be fixed . I am not sure how i am going to pack the car for all 5 of us. My trunk is so small :(. I have do much to do so little time.
I took poor little Diana to the hospital this am. She went to the doctors early this week. They tested her for the RSV virus and said if she is positive we will call you if not then you will not hear from us. Well she has gotten worse and worse and since the doctors had not called I figured it was a bad cold. Well this morning they informed me that the test results came back positive. So there we sat for 3 hours with breathing treatments ect. Poor little girl. Needless to say the office will get a nasty call from me tomorrow. We now know why she has been struggling to breath. We hope she is ok to go to MS if not we will stay here.
so then I stress about getting Abby. MY husband is not always the best on communication. I asked him today if he had communicated with his ex about the pick up and he was like. UM I think i did. OK now did you or did you not. I'm in full mode now so i need straight answers. Then i was like ok then whens pick up . He hates when you question him so he was like " Like every other time". Now i was pretty sure that it was an hour later than usual but not sure and since I'm not sure he really knows himself i had to email Abby's mom to find out. I hate to bother her but don't want to keep her waiting and I don't want to be late myself plus i have my daycare now and I have to get my back up sitter here at the right time.
I know i just have to sit back and breath but right now I cant :) Laundry is done time to work again .
It will be nice finally when thanksgiving is here to relax:)

Our Sweet little Girl

Poor Diana has this nasty little cold. She looks so pitiful and helps less. Her little nose just pours and she has this horrible cough. The doctors tested her for the rsv virus but nothing came of that. Her oxygen level was down so I suppose that's why they suggest that. She has slept horribly for the past two nights so I will take her back this am to get her ears checked. I cant wait for her ENT apt in Dec. Daddy just sits around and holds her( as much as he can when she will sit still :) He follows her around with a tissue. :) He loves his baby girl he feels just so darn bad for her. He say is shes not 100 % by wed we are not going to Mississippi Although it will be sad if we can not go it would be ok. My hubby's truck is going in to get fixed so all the hard work they have been doing to the four wheelers and the truck tires is going to have to wait for another adventure as we will not be taking the truck to MS we will taking the Car. I am dreading that one. A small car with 5 people in it for a 10 hour drive :( Don't even want to think of it:)
So hopefully Our princess will fell better by then.

Great Customer Service

We have noticed that most places we go now a days lack great customer service. When we lived in Oklahoma my husband and I hated going anywhere there because of the lack of service there. From management on down the chain people are just rude where did it go?? Maybe be its just because we have been living in military towns for so long. Last month I ordered a Hugh supply of Dianas Diaper Creams Pinxav. This stuff rocks. While in college I worked as a pharmacy Tech at CVS and we sold it off the Back racks like hot cakes. When i moved to Oklahoma we could not find it anywhere . I had every pharmacy check their wholesalers books but not one pharmacist could find it or had heard of it. To me that was ridiculous because not only did i use to sell a lot of it but I swore by it with Deano . So I got online when dean was little and found they supplier of it. There is was an Ohio based company :) So ever since then I have ordered it from them or when Im up north I buy a supply of it. So last month I order a Hugh supply of it and had them overnight it to me because Diana had a bad case of Diaper rash and then on top of that the doctors put her on an antibiotic so i knew she needed it then. Well it never came and never came and well darn it i needed it. So i went to the store and got the old Desitin. I had thought well maybe my credit card information was not correct or something but on this months statement there it was a big charge for 70.00 and no diaper cream. I called the company yesterday and left them a message. Today I got a call from a Pinxav Rep Named Darla. She started out. I am sorry Mrs Cox that you have not received it it is obviously lost in the mail. I will refund you your money and send out your order today on us. That was very very nice of her. I was not looking for that just for my product. I was so excited as I ordered two of the biggest jars they have and they are not cheap. :) She also said that she would send me out samples. Very very very good customer service. We talked a while and I told her about all the pharmacy's I had been to in OK trying to find it but no one had heard of it and the same here in Texas. She said she would also send me out a Hugh Care packet of samples and product to take to the pharmacy's to introduce it. I am so excited. I love this stuff and would love everyone to try it. You put it on their bums and the rash is gone in like a few hours. Even the worst rashes. So thank you Darla from Pinxav for your great customer service. :)

What a Handsome Boy He is

Deans Preschool Picture :)

Diana and the Duckies

We walked down to the park today. What a beautiful day for that. Its about a 1.5 walk to the park and Diana and M Loves it. They can see the cho cho train when it blows by us and the firetrucks and EMS cars at the Station as we pass it. Today we decided to feed the duckies :) I am not sure weather Diana likes to be that close to the Ducks. Usually she quacks back at them from her stroller but she was pretty quiet with them in front of her :)

Her Little Accent

As Diana is starting to talk more now we are noticing a little bit of an accent. It is so cute and of course southern as they come Daddy is so in love with it. LOL

Diana's New Chair

Finally the Chair comes in. It has been on back order but its here. She loves it. She rocks in it all the time and then rocks her babies in it. She is such a big girl. Even Dean Loves the Chair. :) Pretty in Pink Deano.

Getting Ready For Thanksgiving

As Thanksgiving approaches Dean and Daddy are getting ready for their 4 Wheeling adventures :). They have been excited for weeks. They have been tending to the maintenance of their 4 wheelers this past week. The 4 wheelers got new tires as did the Trailer, and Daddy's truck got new tires as well. Diana has been having fun playing in the tires. Hey Grandpa Here is your new tire Sales Women :) Diana wanted to be part of everything too. She has been following Daddy and Deano all over the place trying to keep up with them . One day little Darling you can help them out too.

Our time with Grandma

It seems like grandmas stay was only for a few days. We would like to keep her here forever. Even my husband today was sad to see her go. I can not believe it but her was. They have an excellent relationship so that's awesome. Deano had so much fun with grandma. he got her time her love and all her snuggles at bedtime:) They played memory and bingo and colored together. :) Diana Loved her grandma as well. To see her face every morning when she saw grandma. Diana would raise her hands high up in the sky for grandma to pick her up. Grandma taught her all about caring for her baby dolls, from rocking, to feeding, to covering, ect. They had fun together. I hope we can get back to Ohio for Christmas. We are still waiting on word from the Army. Gilbert did say today that he would try everything go get us home one way or another :)

I had such a nice time with grandma. sometimes with all the kids it seemed a little chaotic. It was just nice to have my mother here with me. She helped me out with everything. I can not say thank you FOR EVERYTHING more than I have. We went shopping :) Grandma loves to shop. She bought little Dean some new game systems and Diana toys toys toys and Abby some Christmas Presents. It was too bad Abby was not here for the Stay this weekend. They would have loved to see each other. Its ok. The family is taking a trip to Hilton Head this summer and We are going to try to go too so Abby will be able to come :O)

It will be a little sad while grandma is gone. I got use to the dinner time help , the laundry help :) The talks and the wine drinking. Grandma introduced me to some new wines while she was here. It was quite nice :) i LOVE MY MOM AND WILL MISS Her Hopefully only for a few more weeks until Christmas. :)

1st Cav Museum

One thing we have been wanting to do with the kids since we have been here is to take the kids to the First Cav Museum. Dean is so interested in the Army stuff. He mad us laugh the whole time with the things he says. We were looking at the equiptment and Dean wanted to determin which ones were the US's vehicle and which ones were the bad guys. We got to one display and he said Daddy when you are all done with them in battle you bring the right back here? There were some displays which had the vehicle removed for either repair or a new display. Dean wanted to know what they were. We told them they were an invisible tanker. He was so excited. :) He had such a good time. We enjoyed spending time there looking around with grandma and the kids.

Well its been a while since I have put a new post up here. :) We are quite busy with Grandma. She flew in last thursday and we have been busy ever since. We celebrated Diana's 1st birthday with Grandma Friday night. Diana had so much fun. She played as hard as she could and got as messy as we have ever seen her :) What fun we had. I think she had gotten enough toys to last her a few birthdays :) Deano got another birthday present from grandma before her party started too. He got a new hand held leapster. He loved it. :) We are sure glad grandma was able to be here to share Dianas first Birthday with us

Home for the Holidays

Gosh I am so excited with Christmas Right around the corner. There is a great possibility for us to be going back to Ohio for Christmas. I can not hardly stand it. It has been so depressing thinking that we would not be able to do it. Mom and Dad were able get us all home we are just waiting on Gilbert's leave to go through before we give mom and dad the yea to book the flights. :) PLEASSSSEEEEEEEE LET US GO. :) His unit is deploying for a year this Friday so I am not sure if he will get it or no. Keeping our fingers crossed.

I have diana's snowsuit all laid out and have got a whole list planned on things we will need for our trip. This would be the best trip. The Christmas Holiday is the most important Holiday for me. It means family and speding time with the family . Gilbert has not yet got the whole meaning of Christmas yet. He did not celebrate Christmas growing up. HE is however slowly learning what family and the holidays means to us and is adapting very well. :)

Busy November

Wow November is already here. We have such a busy month planned. Im the planner in the family so I have everything down to the T for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We started Nov. with Dina's 1st birthday. What a big girl she is. Now we are planning on Deans surprise. My mom is flying in tomorrow. She booked her flight a few months ago and it it seems like its taken forever to get here. I am so excited I can Hardley wait. I have kept this secret from Dean the whole time. Its getting harder and harder as I am getting the house ready for her I just hope I do not slip. She will get in a little bit after noon time tomorrow and Dean will be in school. She will be here to get him off the bus. I can not wait. He is going to be so surprised. :)
So after that big event we will celebrate Diana's 1st birthday Friday night with a few friends and Grandma.
Daddy is working so hard on getting all the kids 4 wheeling equipment ready and set for Thanksgiving. We will be headed to Mississippi for that. I will have to go pick up Abby Tuesday night so we can leave from here first thing in the am on Wed after Gils first formation. :) Its an 11 hr trip from here. We just did not want to drive 2.5 hours out of our way and then 11 more hours from there. It would be too much for Diana :( So Off to Mississippi we will go.
Busy Nov will lead us straight into December :) I cant wait for Christmas.

Happy Birthday Diana

1st birthday poem :)
Covered in cake and icing,

your smile stretched ear to ear.

A single candle celebrates, the joy of your first year.

We sing Happy Birthday, you play midst wrap and bows.

We marvel at how you touched our lives, just one year ago.

I remember the first time I held you, kissed your head,

whispered your name.you've changed our lives forever,

Our hearts will never be the same.As a child you'll love this day,

for all the sweets and presents too.As parents we'll love your day,

for the gift we got was you. Each year we'll add another candle,

so proud to see you grow. But always with the memory,of your first day long ago.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY DIANA WE LOVE YOU

Baby Want a Bath?

Our sweet girl just wanted to give her baby doll a bath :) Good thing i just cleaned the toliet>\. I was standing at the tub drawing her bath and I turned around and there they were :). She is so smart.

Trick O Treat :)

The kids had a great time this year. Dean came right home off the bus and got into this Costume. Dean was wolverine this year and Diana was Piglet for her very first Halloween.
Diana was very proud of her Costume. :) We started out about 700 last night. Our first two houses probably were not the best ones to go to for Diana. They were scary scary houses. Anything you can think of was hanging from the trees and stuck into the grass there. the people were are dresses up and decked out like a scene from the scariest Movies. Diana just stood there frozen looking at everyone. Dean walked hesitantly up the drive way :) From there on out they were good to go. Diana was not too much into carrying her Halloween bucket but once she knew what was in there she had a death grip on it. LOL. We finished up the evening at our house passing out candy. Dean loves to pass out Halloween Candy :) He would throw handfulls of candy into their bags.
