Chasing Big Brother

I can Ride my Bike with out wheels

Today was another milestone for Little D. Today we took off his training wheels. I cant even really say we taught him to ride his bike. Grandma raised his training wheels at the beginning of summer when Princess Abby learned to ride her bike. Since Abby left to go back home to her mother Little D has not ridden his bike all that much. After dinner tonight I told him we would be taking off his training wheels.
When I got outside he was wrapping a corded rope around the bars of the bike. He said that the rope would keep him from falling. I obviously took it off so it would not get in his way. As I took off the last wheel I asked him to hold the bike up while I put the tools away. As I turned back around he was no where in site. I called out to him telling him I was coming. I got to the top of the drive way and there he was riding his bike down the street. I didn't help him on, i didn't push him, I didn't hold him up. He just went all by himself. We are so proud of him. He is so proud of himself. He rode all the way around the block, up and down the street. Way to go Deano!!!!!

Princess Diana's First day of Gymnastics

Yesterday was a big day for Diana. I was very excited for her. After a long summer of Just being around her siblings Diana finally gets to play with kids her own age. I have enrolled Princess D and Little D into activities at the rec. Gymnastics and Swim Lessons for Princess D and Swim Lessons and Basketball for Little D.
Diana's Class was a full class. I worried at first that she would not stay on task( as well as any 22 month old could do), and that she would throw one of her famous Princess D fits. Not only did she follow every direction given and doing it in the right order , but no fits either. She had a blast. She went from the bars. to the summer salt area, to the wedge, to the trampoline ( of course)to the crawl tunnel. She had so much fun with the other kids. I am so excited for her. I cant wait until next Tuesday.
