Today I restarted Potty Training in Full Swing. It went well for the most part. There was not kicking or screaming. I keep pull ups on her all day long. Of course we never put any pee pee in the potty but we did sit there. I read to her, we sang, we played games, we put lotion on lol. We had good bonding time. It will come. She has the wiping, the flushing and the washing hands down good. The pee pee will come. I know shes got it in her. LOL. I saw it in her pull up for sure. Ever 15 min we went in. She would sit and sit and sit and then u got her up and not more then five min later she would pee. Its the process I guess. Shes is ready. She tells us when shes has pee or poo in her diaper. She has grabbed poo out of her diaper on more then 5 occasions and hew newest thing is that she going up stairs into her room, get the diaper wipes and lays on the bed to do her diaper wiping thing. I have found her up there twice now doing that. Its routine now u know shes going up so now I just follow. I think shes ready.

Just Monkeying around
The most fearless Child
My Princess is not at all like Deano when he was a toddler. He did not like to get dirty, ( She loves to roll in the dirt), he did not like bugs ( She loves to pick them up), He did not get into thing ( we cant keep her out). I cant believe just how different they are. This weekend at the zoo Deans one request was that we go see the Snacks. When we got there Dean said he did not want to touch the one that they had out for us to touch and Diana could not keep her hand off of it. LOL. OH MY.... My poor child.

Big Boy Goes to Kindergarten
It was a rainy sad exciting day around our house this morning. Today was Dean's first day of kindergarten. I cant believe this day finally came. Dean had a great day. He said the best part of the day was making new friends. I am so excited for him. I am a little scared though as the new curriculum that they teach is very different now then it was 25 years ago when I was there. I don't think we were writing by the end of the year and the teacher said they would know how to write at least 3 sentences and use punctuation by the years end.
Where has the time gone.
He rode the bus home. The school is literally a mile away but morning kindergartners ride the bus home and they walk or ride with parents to school. We got Or should I say we took some great pictures of him getting off the bus but daddy forgot to put the memory card back in the camera from this morning. Pooh.

MY PRINCESS
Meet the Teacher night
Last night was an exciting night at our house. It was Little Deano's Meet the Teacher night. I don't know who was more nervous Dean or Daddy :). I am excited for Dean this year and its a special school to for me. Dean will be going to the same school that I grew up in from K through 6Th. To my surprise he is in the same class room as I was in too. It felt good walking back into my old elementary school not much has changed but it does look a lot smaller now or is it that I am much bigger now. I learned the Alphabet on the Alphabet People and I have been so excited hoping that dean would learn from the Alphabet People too but so far no sign of them in the class room but oh well.
His teacher this year will be Mrs. Macy's. Gil and I both agree that she has that teacher feel. She seems patient, kind, and a warm welcoming personality to the kids. I know that was just our first impression in about oh 20 min. tomorrow we have our parent orientation I am so EXCITED. School starts Friday for him. He will not go on Monday as the second half of the kind. class goes Mon and then Tues all the kids go together. I am so excited. My baby is growing up.
Natural History Museum
I have been wanting to take Dean to the Dinosaur Museum for a while now and this week we finally got the chance. We went to the Natural History Museum in Cleveland. The kids saw dinosaur bones, the human body, the solar system, Indians, and many prehistoric animals. I think the kids had a great time. Princess D's attention span was just right and the History Museum overall was interesting enough to keep dean involved from beginning to end.

Update to my Creepy Bug
I finally know what my Creepy Bug is. Thank you Jessica. Its a Katydid.
True Katydids are relatives of grasshoppers and crickets. They grow over two inches long and are leaf-green in color.
Katydids have oval-shaped wings with lots of veins. They resemble leaves.
True Katydids live in forests, thickets, or fields with lots of shrubs or trees. Katydids spend most of their time at the tops of trees where most of the leaves are.
Usually katydids are heard, but not seen.
Well Im amazed.
Play time with Baby Laney
The kids have been so excited for baby Laney to come. She arrived last night and we so happy to see her. We just love her so much. Shes just the best little baby. I can't believe it a few weeks ago she was just starting to sit up a bit and now she just sits there for ever playing. Shes happy and content. Princess D brought her everyone of her baby dolls to play with and she shared her Lego table very well I thought. Little D and Princess D decided that they would compete who could hug Baby Laney the most. This morning Baby slept in until 8:30 and Little D was chomping at the bit to wake her up. We took her to the park this morning to swing, swam in the pool and played hard. Both Girls are sacked out hard right now. :)
ITs Potty Training Time
Its time for Potty Training for our little Princess D. I can not believe it as I still want to keep her a baby but we need to take her ques and go with the flow. Maybe it wont last be a few days since she is still young but we have to try. Right? I never used a little potty for Dean just a small potty seat to go on ours. I am not big on emptying poo or pee from a little potty. Diana seems to have the hang of getting the foot stool, putting it by the potty, taking down her pull up and then sitting down on it. So far no pee pee but she still likes to wipe, flush, and wash. Big girl
Creepy Bug
Today I was washing dishing talking on the phone ( No surprise right),I kept looking outside at this leaf on the chair. After some time I noticed that this leaf looking thing was moving. Now I know it was not a walking stick but what was it. Was it really just a leaf blowing in the wind or was it something else. As I got closer to it I noticed it was this really creepy bug. I have never seen a bug like this before. I can not believe it but I had not. I have been searching and Searching but I can not come up with a name for it. It sits on what looks like a grasshopper body and the body is covered with two wings that look exactly like a small leaf. It has long long antenna's. Can anyone help?

Summer Vacation 2010
Next year will be here before we know it. Mom and Dad have already begun planning our summer vacation for 2010. This year the family vacation was in Orlando, but my hubby, I and the kids we unable to attend as we had just moved back to Ohio. When they asked us where we wanted to go next year it was a toss up. We have always vacationed in Hilton Head. I love it. Its a relaxed atmosphere, you can ride your bikes any where you want to go. I love Harbour Town. On the other hand I wanted to take the kids to Disney World. Princess D will be old enough to remember, Little D will be old enough to enjoy it and I think Princess A will love it. Not to forget Little Laney Boo, she will have so much fun with her cousins I know she will love its a Small world.
We will be staying at a Kid friendly Resort The Marriott's Harbour Lake. I am so excited. Out of every place we have ever stayed we have not been to something like this. The kids are going to be so excited, so much fun and so exhausted.
Harbour Lake has an interactive pirate ship, has activities every day for the kids to attend, it has a miniature golf course and I pirate Pool, an interactive water playground with a slide. There is going to be something for everyone. I cant wait. Between Disney, sea worlds and the Pirate Themed Pools they are going to have a blast.
Diana's First Middleton Baby Doll
Diana got her first Middleton Baby Doll. I guess the trip to see the stealer's was not a total bust for me:) I have never been into a store that sells the baby's but we went into this Kaleidoscope store and I was in heaven. Well I guess Diana was too. I walked in and out of that store 6 times before I bought a doll. I was trying to justify spending that much money on a baby doll for my 21 month old. When the lady asked me how old my daughter was that I was buying it for I said oh shes 7. I could only envision me saying of its for my baby here and then they lady saying your nuts to buy her that. LOL. So Princess D screamed all the way down the hall until I was out of view of that store. At that time I pulled her new little baby out of the bag and the rest was history. Diana and " Baby Abby " have been side by side ever since. Guess what.... The baby is still in new condition :). We dress, diaper and cloth "baby Abby " for everything we do. Princess D now feeds her as well. Yesterday we had to take "baby Abby" to the swimming pool with us.lol. She loves her baby doll and she is such a good Mommy. Lets see for how long we can keep baby in good condition.
Our Trip to the Steelers
What a day. My husband is nuts over the Steelers. I dont understand the whole football thing so I dont really care. I have lived in Ohio most of my life so I only know the Browns. My husband has been talking about going to see the Stadium for some time now and he finally got his chance. My youngest brother in law came up for a visit and it was prime time for Hubby to wisk us off to Steelers town.
I didnt really want to go but we all went. It was ok. I didnt see anything I liked about Pittsburg. I felt like I was in the middle of the bad part of town where ever we went, I felt like we were driving in circle, but hey the riverwalk was nice.
We got to the stadium and I think my husband was in Heaven. He was all grins from cheek to cheek from the moment we got there until the minute we left. Little D man, Little Princess D, and Brother in Law S all seemed to have fun. Lucky for them they were able to sneak upstairs to the upper level and get a great look at the field, they got to be in the stadium, look at the walk of fame, ect. Oh what a fun day for them. :) I got to go shopping at the new Mall there. Now that was fun.
Ummm Go Steelers<..........
A day at the Beach
Ahhh A day at the Beach. I have been wanting to take the kids to the water for sometime now since we have been home. We just have not found the time since we have been back. I started to search for beaches here in Ohio and Finally found some that I forgot about. We took the kids to Huninton Beach In Bay Village.
What a beautiful day. It was mig 80's and just beautiful. Not a cloud in the sky. We spent about 5 hours on the beach, building sand castles, swimming, eatting Ice cream. What fun. Little Princess D has decided that she loves to dive into the sand, on her belly, and burry herself in the sand. Our little girl loves the dirt. Complete opposite of Little D man when he was her age. He did not like to get his feet or hands dirty. Little D and Little Princess D have been so lost since their sister went back home to her mommys early July so this was a perfect trip for them. They found friends to play with all day long. It was a great day.
