Texas Law it surprised me

I am amazed everyday on how much I think i know but I really don't. Yes honey I did admit to that one:). Recently we have been interviewing some lawyers to take a case that we are wanting handled. Its amazing on what the lawyers have told us. Things we thought we knew or thought we were helpless on we really were not. Its a relief to know we were wrong and that we have a side. If we only knew now what we didn't a year ago we would have saved ourselves some emotional peace and some money . This am we had a interview with an awesome attorney who gave us some great information and I think my husband is on cloud nine. In his original divorce we tried to have his attorney bring up a temp order that originated out of CO when his DV to his ex first started. Its stated that She could not relocate the child out of CO where the child was residing at the time with out my hubby's consent or the courts ect. Well she was and that was that. My husbands now ex attorney did not do such a great job and getting a handle on that for credibility reasons. We found out today that ( in some round about way) they can still have a way with that original paperwork stating that she was not to be removed from that state. :) Some type of legal garb that We had to explain to us a few times but that's ok. Then came the matter of the moving from here to there and getting the child and changing meeting points. Comes to find out that actually since the mother is the one whom had custody and moved she would be the one responsible for all transportation . That is according to a law to be enforced back in the court. I guess its some Texas law. If the custody parent moves its their responsibility to provide all transportation. What a relief that was. We do not mind meeting half ways but when mommy keeps moving farther and farther its hard. We now miss our 4 day weekend that we were able to being to use . We were excited for jan , feb, then spring break in march then a 4 day in April.
Now its all gone. Also we found out with the distance the airplane ride we were seeking is enforceable. Cost is suppose to be on the custodial parent which i don't really agree on in think it should be 50/50. I mean its only fair. That's an expensive thing.
I don't know we learned a lot today about the laws in Texas. I always thought i was up on things but it proved me wrong. :)
I think i need to go into law to figure everything out that I want to :)

Wow, what a busybody you are. What does this have to do you? This is between the mother and the father, it has absolutely nothing to do with you. And to post this on a blog is beyond tacky. So mind your own business and stay out of things that are not your concern.

So maybe you should learn how to speak correctly before you leave a comment on someone's blog. You should NOT be anonymous, UNLESS you have something to hide. I am sure this is the case. lol

If anonymous has an opinion to share "they" shouldn't hide behind "anonymous". They have no idea. When you marry someone you ARE involved in all aspects of the relationships...good and bad...and when it comes to the well being of innocent childrens' health, safety and welfare and you are involved as a care giver of that child you ARE involved.

So maybe anonymous should mind "their" own business and go bother another blog or crawl under a rug.
AND you CAN use my name.

Sorry, you are totally overstepping here. When you are in a relationship with someone, you are involved in 100% in each the aspect of each others relationship. However, when it comes to step children, the step parent needs to let the biological parents deal with the issues on their own. It's not your place to get involved and quite frankly none of your business. I think majority of society would agree with me on this. And again I state. Writing about it on a public blog is just juvenile and tacky. Also, you need to learn how to spell before you leave comments on your own blog.

Dear Anonymous -

Very adult of you to hide behind the the non-name. Please read up on how to appropriate make use of social media tools. Blogs are public web logs (you can look it up on Wikipedia) and are for anyone to use to express whatever the heck they feel. I believe it's even in the constitution that allows us the freedom to do so! Can you believe the nerve?

Oh, and it's one thing to comment on a topic or controversial issue and entirely another to personally attack someone in a public forum (juvenile and tacky - I think those were your words?). Pot, meet Kettle. With that, in defense of the original blogger, stepdaughter, for your reference, is one word. "What does this have to do you" is a fragmented sentence. Please revisit grammar school, anonymous.

Dear Ms Wanna Be Blogger,

Wikipedia is not an appropriate reference. Try to come up with something more original.

You have absolutely no idea who I am, and what I do; please do not make me laugh with your innane attempt at your understanding of social media.

While I do agree with you that a weblog is a public forum and the right of free speech should be protected; to read such drivel including your pregnancy blog is a waste of web space. Nice of you to pimp out your unborn child.

I am also choosing to exercise my right and freedom of speech by commenting on ignorance and stupidity I read and come across on a public forum.
